This iron giant was built by Bethlehem Shipbuilders in 1928 for service in Alaska by the Fairbanks Exploration Company. Acquired by John Reeves in 1996 Gold Dredge #2 was restored and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Ongoing Preservation and rehabilitation of Gold Dredge#2 is ongoing.
